<p>As opposed to 3:2 or even 2:2, as it is in your case, it is always preferrable to have four years of a language--romance, Asiatic, or classical--under one's belt.</p>
<p>But, 3:2 is better than 2:2.</p>
<p>Typically 3+ years of the same language is recommended. Sometimes they require 2.</p>
<p>I agree that 3:2 is better than 2:2. Can you fit Latin into your schedule? How much do you like the subject? If you do, try to put either into your schedule for three years. If not, though, you should be fine.</p>
<p>i took 2 years of german and got into penn. it all depends if you have room in your schedule. i mean if your schedule is loaded with other classes/activities/sports, colleges will see "oh okay, this student didnt have room in his or her schedule to put a language in and also took full advantage of the available class slots, so i wont ding him or her". however, if you have room in your schedule, do please take another year of german.</p>
<p>nonetheless, 3+ years of a language is preferred usually. you can find the language requirement and or preferred language amount on many of the universities' websites.</p>
<p>btw, i took my language at a cc for 6 weeks to count for two years of a language.</p>

<p>Two years of Latin, two years of German, chances are you are done.</p>
<p>Check with the specific REQUIREMENTS of the colleges/universities you are looking at. Do not sweat the recommendations. If you don't have time in your schedule, stop worrying about this and get on with your life.</p>
