30 vs 32

is there usually a significant increase in merit aid for a 32 versus 30 ACT? can you associate a particular dollar amount with it or does it depend upon the institution? don't most of the top scholarships have the 32 ACT as eligibility criteria for application to those top schollys?

does the 32 ACT also significantly increase admissions chances at "most selective" schools?

It depends on the school. If you are looking for merit, your best bet would be to look at the requirements for merit money. If possible I would also suggest looking up the common data set of the schools you are interested in to find out where your scores fall in relation to the admitted class of freshmen.

What in your mind constitute most selective schools? If you are talking about the ivies, keep in mind that the process is a wholistic ones where scores are important, they are not going to trump grades, rank and the institutional mission.

was thinking in terms of selectivity and "most difficult" to gain entrance. have found the peterson's website and that's been helpful for comparison purposes.

thanks sybbie - will take a look at "common data set".

link to common data sets
