33 ACT or 2280 SAT

The SAT Writing, while not as reasoning intensive as some of the other parts, still requires a keen and coherent thought process in order to do well; I mean, honestly, the ACT has COMMA error questions–that is true memorization.

The SAT writing “improving sentences” section takes more than memorizing writing rules; unlike finding the error, you need to have good analytical skills for identifying the best sentence structure possible.

No, you place the commas logically so the sentence flows coherently. It’s based on logic. Memorizing idioms is not.

Sorry for taking the OP’s thread though.

There are arguments that can go either way, and I will admit, both the SAT and ACT have their own respective ways of posing a challenge.

Send both! That’s what I did, and I had similar scores. Apparently it’s a plus to show that you can do well on both (because the tests have different set-ups and each one tests you in a different way).

I V-- what is your point? The ACT is easier? Well that is your perspective. Critical Reading on the SAT, in my opinion, is a cakewalk, while the ACT Reading and Science is not. I’ll admit ACT English is easier than SAT Writing, but that has more to do with the SAT Writing being f*d up then the ACT English being easy.

And why only send the SAT score if one does well on the ACT as well? 99.9% of US Universities accept both equally.
