34, 8 writing worth retaking?

Is a 34 with an 8 on writing worth retaking? I know I can probably do a little better because I didn't do much ACT-specific studying and I got a 2300 on the SAT with an 800 on writing. My subject tests are what worry me, so should I take the ACT again (it can replace the need for subject tests for most of my colleges)?

If you are senior, then I would say you should focus on your essays and the rest of your application. You would not gain much by retaking ACT as you already have 2300/34. Even if you don’t need to do any practice and you are sure you can get a 35/36 this time, it may be late for EA/ED which would have a bigger impact on your admission.

Don’t take it again. You can devote your time to helping your application in big ways with the time it would take you to prepare and improve your score by a point.

No, absolutely not.

Honestly this is a dumb question. You have like an amazing score and your worried?

Only if all your missing points are in one section.

If they are all close to your average plus or minus 2 you won’t improve any.
