I’m planning on applying to Vandy ED1, and other schools like Tulane, Purdue, WashU, Emory, UA regular. What are my chances?

Make sure to write if possible a few sentences of ways you might use Vanderbilt academically…you don’t have to promise your first born child and you are allowed to change course! Write an additional essay for the Chancellor’s if you are first gen college. Always take the time to apply to merit offers. Chances of winning are not high but essays are read.

Big difference in your odds of admission between EA and RD at Tulane. Most who applied RD last year ended up not admitted or on waitlist. None that I knew came off the waitlist.

@NoVADad99 : I thought it was like that basically at all selective. I don’t know any where MOST people get in, especially in the RD round. Too many applications too little spots. Basically 3/5 of the others will be tough for most applicants in RD, and Purdue will depend on state residency.

bump

You have a solid chance, DD best friend had similar stats and was accepted ED to Vandy.
