340 dollars for UCLA Orientation?

LOL, good lord that's alot of money. Would suck to be a social welfare major paying for that.

Happy 4,:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:th post flopsy!

:p

Yay flopsy!

Too bad I've passed him in uber-CC.com postness.

Wait, that's not a good thing. Damn.

I'm catching up to you guys... I'm about 1/10 there...

Anyway,

$340 for orientation!!!

Emmeline, stop while you still have the strength to! It's not too late for you!

Remember, once you walk down the dark path, forever shall it dominate your free time!

Ari... Ari... do not... do not underestimate the powers of the Mods or suffer your [...] fate you will. Ari, when gone am I... the last of the CCers will you be. Ari, the Force runs strong in your family. Pass on what you have learned, Ari. There is... another...

[Emmeline dies]

You people are so silly. :)

What i don't get is why they don't do orientation right before the beginning of the semester. Now I have to pay to fly there, fly back, and fly there again when school actually starts.

maybe b/c hte school is so big they cant accomodate everyone in one session. usc has several sessions too.

Ask..They may have a session just before school starts in the Fall...during new student week. For example, UCSD has one session in September during new student week for those who could not make to any of the sessions in June-July.

$340.00 for orientation is a rip-off...For that cost, they better give out a starter "kit" to all attendees (i.e. UCLA catalog, T-shirt, etc.).

They give out some things. How about asking people for a list of what you get?

obmud01 - You'd wish.

The only thing you get from orientation is lots of papers in a folder, a welcome/planning guide, a polyester bag with drawstrings (to work like a backpack), a poster-sized calendar, wallet, planner, and minor things.

They don't give out the UCLA General Catalog at Orientation anymore?

Nope. $10 at the UCLA store... or a free pdf online.

Do they give you a free pen?

Yeah.. a cheap one... nothing fancy.

They gave the parents a catalog at the parent's orientation last year.
