35+ Score Thread

Call me arrogant or big-headed but in an attempt to hinder bragging in real life I think it'd be a cool idea to see who all has gotten a 35+ on this June 10 ACT.

34 English (17,18) ( I know I missed 3... the curve isnt as harsh as people say)
36 Math (18,17,18) This curve saved me.
35 Reading (18,17) I didn't think I missed any
33 Science Only thought I missed one...

COMPOSITE: 35!!!

ANyways I was shooting for a 34 so a 35 is AMAZING. I'm ecstatic.

EDIT:

Also I have a super-scored 36 now of

35
36
35
36
C: 36

…

Why have a 35+ scorers thread when you can have a 36 scorers thread for the June ACT.

What were the three English questions that you missed?

There is no way that English had a -3 34 curve.

I put “it’s age” instead of “its age”

I put “shimmering, colored lights,” instead of “shimmering, colored lights”

And I put a then instead of than

wow i got a 34 on english there’s no way i got less than 3 wrong tho

35 composite 36 super score

35
36
33
36

I got a 35 on English but my two subscores were 18. Is that even possible?

Yep… you can get double 18 and still 35. Means you missed a question outside those categories.

First and only time taking it…
35 (18,18)
36 (17, 18, 18)
35 (18, 17)
36

36 composite

I got a double 18 on English too and got a 35…:(. Oh, well, I think it’s pretty good for no prep/no practice. The ACT is much more forgiving than I thought it would be…

Umm no. All the questions fall within the categories. It just means that -1 didn’t affect the subscore but affected the overall score.

Anyone think there was a curve on reading?

I don’t think there was a curve in reading this time, although you usually can get at least one wrong and still get the 36. This reading test may have been slightly easier than previous ones, according to my son, because it lacked those horribly-ambiguous questions where you need to determine the writer’s intent and your only real options are between a lousy answer and even worse answers.

Summarized from the other thread: My son’s scores:

Composite 36
English 36 (18/18)
Math 36 (18/18/18)
Reading 36 (18/18)
Science 36

First time taking the test, btw.

^ wow
10char

This thread is unnecessary and represents the harmful side of CC.

I second this. Mind telling how/if your son prepped?

No offense or anything but I find it weird when a parent comes into a thread to post their child’s scores

^^^

He took 3 real practice tests from the ACT Red Book and got 36’s on each. I guess the REAL prep, however, was taking EIGHT AP tests the month before, 4 of them self-studied. The ACT seemed simple after managing those tests over 3 weeks (including make-up week for schedule conflicts).
