36=0 Wrong?

Do you have to answer all questions correctly on an ACT test to get a 36?

Does anyone have a general scoring chart for the ACT?

Thanks!

not always, it depends on the curve the ACT sets

Technically, no. For example, you could get 36E, 35M, 35R, 36S and still get a 36.

Well, I meant for an individual exam. For example, I think I only had one question wrong on both my English and Reading exams today, so would that mean that I would have a 35 on each of those exams?

sometimes -1 = 36.. sometimes -1 = 34.. sometimes -1 = 35.. it just depends on how everyone does... on english it's usually 74-75 = 36, 73 = 35, 72 = 34, 71 = 33..... reading is usually -1 = 35... but on the april act it was -1 = 34.. this reading was a little bit harder than the last one i thought, so the curve may be -1 = 35

but it is very likely that you got 35, 36, 35, 36 and pulled off a 36 composite.. it's not uncommon

What about for Science? I thought April's was easier so, normally, a 27 would give me how many wrong?

depending on the difficulty a anywhere from a -6 to a -9 i'd guess

in the reading for april it was -3=32

yeah, april was brutal for reading... -1 = 34... -2 = 33, -3 = 32 etc....

Im not really worried for Reading or English. I just wanted to get a Science score in the mid to high 20's.

yeah, well this science was a little harder and less straightforward than the other science sections in the past.. so i'm guessing the curve will be more generous.. usually from what i've seen, -6 or a -7 = 27 on a normal science section (brutal, i know)... this one may be more like -8 or -9 = 27

i hope so..so around -4 would be around a 31?

So anyone have a score breakdown for how many you can get wrong & score on the high end 30+ of the science section

usually it's something like -1 = 35, -2 = 34, -3 = 33, -4 = 31, -5 = 29.. something like that... but this time it may be a little bit more lenient

^ I think the scoring is really unpredictable. I took a full length practice a few weeks before i took the April ACT, and I got a 36 on the reading with -1. But on the actual April test I missed one and got a 34 in that section... it really depends on how everyone else in the country does :/

i sure hope most people sucked......bad lol

based off of the Real ACT guide conversion tables the most lenient science curve was -1 = 36 and -10 = 27. i really think that's going to be the science curve. for math and english i think it's going to be -1 =35 and so on until the scores get below 30 scale score. so like -6 = 30. for reading i really don't know. the worst curve in prep guide was -1 = 36 (not too bad!) but after hearing about the April reading curve i really don't know. there was really only one controversial question for the reading section. the rest seemed pretty straightforward so i'm hoping for a not too bad curve.

anyone else have insight into what they think the curve will be??
