36 on Reading part of ACT but 650 on SAT?

Does that not seem ridiculously weird? I can't break a 650 on the CR section of the SAT, but I scored a 36 on the Reading part of the ACT...What is going onnnnn!?

METOO.
O_O
i dono why though
Lol

The reading part on the ACT seems rudimentary compared to SAT's complex questions ~.~

700 and a 36 here too xD. I find that hilarious.

So it's obvious we can read...but my 650 makes me feel like I'm illiterate!! Something has to be wrong with the SAT, I swear!!

The vocab on the SAT is what does me in. I can understand vocabulary when it's in context but I cannot do the sentence completions.

Is that the case for y'all?

a 650 is not a bad score. It seems to me that people on CC think that a score below a 700 is bad. Hilary11, you should not feel illiterate over a 650.

I know I'm not illiterate, but my CR score fails. (560 on my last test.)
English is not my first language, maybe that's why.

Well with the schools I want to apply to, a 650 won't cut it.

My main problems are on the passages actually.

Then improve it, there's nothing wrong with the CB's CR. Get used to it and do it. People get 700-800, there's nothing wrong with it. In fact, I would go so far as to say it's pretty straightforward.

Yeah, just familiarize yourself with the types of questions. Know where to look.
I was able to pull my CR up to around 650-670 on practice tests.

650 is like the 90% or something isnt it?
i was only able to get my reading up to a 680...sigh
and i really just don't feel like taking it again...especially because I don't think that will kill me...not applying to yale or harvard. so i think ill be okay

imagine how the kids who get 500 must feel...and that is the average
how about a 400
eek
