Yea so I may end up with 3Cs in AP classes … what are the odds I get rescinded? I know I will more likely than not get a letter asking for an explanation, but assuming I answer that well enough, whould I get rescinded?
Any insight @Alexandre ?

from umich admission website:
Freshmen: As an admitted freshman, the University of Michigan expects all aspects of your academic performance and conduct in your senior year to be consistent with the record you presented upon admission. Any significant decline in your academic performance, such as three or more C’s, any D’s, E’s or F’s, may be cause for revoking admission. Declining grades or a significant change in curriculum may also be cause for revoking admission. Although senior year grades are reported directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (OUA) and reviewed, it is your responsibility to advise OUA of any serious decline in grades or changes in course selections previously entered on your application.
@Eeeee127 yea I know that already … just wanted to know from people who’ve gotten the letter or equivalent grades
if you explain your situation well enough, your probably won’t be rescinded. make sure to improve your grades though just to be safe
A college counselor told me that the only time she saw an admission rescinded was when the person failed English because that meant he no longer had 4 years of English, which is mandatory for admission.
"C"s in AP classes translate to "B"s in regular lane, and the usual recommendation is to stay at least a 3.0 GPA so you could be okay. I think only Stanford and the big leagues care. UM is still a huge public school so I doubt they care as much, or have the time. You can just call and ask them!
