4.0 GPA......1650 SAT.....So Scared!!!!!!! Help

I am a student at North Carolina A&T, a Historically Black College & University in North Carolina. While I like attending this university, I feel as if Im not being challenged enough. Because of this reason, I want to transfer to another college.

I am a sophmore with 42 Credits (60 Credits by end of spring semester).

An Business Econ / Engineering Double Major

4.0 Grade Point Average

Want to Transfer to:

Howard University
University of Maryland
University of Minnesota
University of Iowa
University of North Carolina
University of Texas
Ohio State University
George Washington
Georgetown
Emory
Vanderbilit

In High School, I only had a 1.7 GPA. Was a total loser throughout this period of my life. However, I got into college & transformed myself into a top student. Received Freshman Honors Awards, as well as a spot on the Dean's List eversince Freshman Year. I worked so hard over these past 2 years to put myself in a good position to transfer out to a good school, however, I am a HORRIBLE TEST TAKER, JUST PLAIN HORRIBLE. I got a 1650 on my SAT. Ouch!!!!!!!!!! 590 CR, 500 M, 560 W. Im so upset that I basically ruined everything just because of one test, as well as embarrassed that as a 19 y/o, I couldn't pass a test created for high schoolers. I know I pretty much can count on a few "rejected" letters from all of those top schools, but, do you guys think a 4.0 student with a 1650 SAT score can still have a chance at the Public Universities I listed???????

Not all schools need SATs when you transfer with more than 30 credits  good luck

First of all, you can’t “fail” the SAT. The truth is that your scores are average, maybe not for this board, but in the rest of the world you’re OK.

Plus Side:

4.0 in college for the last two years.
Great personal story about turning yourself around.
URM Status

Minus Side

Poor for some of the schools your looking at SATs, especially the 500 in math.

You must test well in classroom situations otherwise the 4.0 GPA would be impossible to achieve.I think if you can get recommendations and support from your current professors you will do better than you think.

Here are my guesses:

Howard, Maryland, Minnesota and Iowa are likely.
UNC, Texas and Ohio State are possible.
The rest are reaches though 1 or 2 might come through.

I think you need to emphasize your daily performance and not obsess on a one day test event.
