<p>I was just wondering what the 4-1-4 Calendar system was.</p>

<p>I think this is how it works:
The 4-1-4 calendar usually consists of 4 courses taken for 4 months, 1 course taken for 1 month, and 4 courses taken for 4 months.</p>

<p>So fall semester is 4 months long and many people take 4 classes. Intersession is 1 month long (about) and people take 1 class...spring semester is 4 months long and many people take 4 classes. I could be wrong on this though...and if this is right, then this is the system that Hopkins follows...</p>
