Infinite series.

it had to do with geometric sequences...thank god for calculous

you mean calculus
the problem was finding the 2nd term of geometric series
rate was .15 and that is all i remember

I'm pretty sure the answer to one of the science soda questions was over 2 hours. In the passage it said that It took about 2 hours for the bubbles to subside; therefore, you'd have to wait over 2 hours to remove all bubbles.

kansan i think thats right too, and for the 25.5 question, dont you just multiply the first term by .15?

It specifically asked when there were TOO FEW bubbles that the results would not be affected. Therefore, it had to be between 15 min and 2 hours, because in Experiment 3 it said all the bubbles were gone. I'm pretty sure, but correct me if I'm wrong.

i think that's what i put

after two hours

you awakened my memory

actually i'm sure that's what i put

It said at two hours, all the bubbles were gone, so it would be inbetween, I'm pretty sure..and how did you work the infinate series..i think i guessed on that one, so idk what I put..

beanies, i remember it said that in their clear plastic bottle it said it took about 2 hours for the bubbles to subside, so wouldnt it make sense that after 2 hours your sure that theres not enough bubbles to affect it?

beanies, I think by "too few bubbles" the question was asking how long it would take for bubbles to not effect the outcomes of the experiment. Bubbles will effect the outcome unless there are none left; therefore, the answer is greater than 2 hours. However, I too am not 100% sure. What did everyone else put?

No, it took two hours before no bubbles were visible in the clear bottle... so that means there would be no more bubbles to constitute "too few bubbles" after two hours...

I put inbetween and I was pretty darn sure haha

it didnt say when there were no bubbles, it said when there were too few bubbles

On second thought, that's a really ambiguous question if it was worded the way you said it was.

yeah that's what i said

it may have not mentioned any time in between because it didn't happen until two hours

im almost positive it was over 2 hours....i dont remember it saying that the bubbles were completely gone i think it said something like very few were left after 2 hours. Was the answer fo the 2 lines that interesected with the same angles, and u had to find the slope of the ohter and the first was 2, -2?

over 2 hours = no bubbles
15-2 = too few bubbles and thats what it was asking for

maybe theyll realize they screwed up and give every credit :D

I put more than two hours originally, but later changed my answer to 15 mins to 2 hours because after two hours there are ZERO bubbles. The question stated too few bubbles to affect the results, which implys that some bubble were still there.

at 15 minutes = some bubbles

2 hours no bubbles

so how can the answer be over 2 hours, when its asking for "few"
