4/14 ACT Thread

Yep, she was frustrated, not lonely...it was answer D or J, but I can't remember exactly what it said..

Nmehta-It depends on the curve, but in the ACT book I'm looking at, you can miss 5 and still get a 32---so far on all that we've compiled I've only missed three, so I'm sitting good, maybe end up missing 5 or 6, dunno..

tmac isnt that w/o any curve, im hoping i can miss 6-7 this is the best ive ever done i think cuz i suck at reading usually like last time i got a 26 lol

in the mcgraw-hill prep book, it includes "correction factors" as a part of the score... do they have that on the real one? (is it the curve?)

yea i have that book too its a piece of **** that correction factor is bogus, 1.5 points added thats ridiculous

Mine was from the Princeton Review..

agreed. i don't understand why they include it.

Science I was in test shock from the reading, had not time what so ever.

PS does the essay affect your score out of 36 or is it a completly different score.

Essay doesn't affect your score.

I got supportive and reassuring.
Also got gathered for "concentrated."

i said glorious color was unnecessary cuz the passage was about the kiln, anyone else?

i remember another reading question

it was the one about an anomaly and it was in the climate change passage i dont remeember the exact question thoguh

I said it was unnecessary also. I forgot why though. It was the "Not necessary" more obvious answer that I selected.

the anomaly question was word for word in the passage, but i don't remember the specific choice

the anomaly question was straight out of the passage, i think it was the last sentence of the introduction but i dont remember the answer

I think I said it was necessary to show hard work or something..

and also, did you say that the paragraph should be kept where it was?

glorious color was needed...it described the whole process of making pots and the kilns role in the process

yea i think i kept the paragraph where it was

Everyone seems to think they aced the essay. What was the prompt?

"are extracurricular activities valuable to students?"

The prompt was whether or not extracurricular activities should be allowed in school. Do they take too much away from the educational process or do they give students opportunities to excel in areas outside of the classroom?
