If the highest GPA one can get is a 4.66, then do you think that it really matters to colleges if a boy has a 4.55 and not a 4.66?

Anybody???

Um, the highest GPA I believe someone can get in a school that does 5.0 should be relatively close to 4.9 (Our salutatorian has a 4.86).

To answer your questions though, those two GPA’s aren’t much different and you’d have to factor in SAT/ACT score and EC/CS’s.

The unweighted GPA is on a 4.0 scale for my school, but when you add in the honors classes, the highest GPA jumps to a 4.66.

Either way, I don’t think it matters much. Perhaps class rank would.

They’ll probably recalculate your GPA on their own scale, so I doubt it matters as long as your class rank is good. What’s your unweighted?

My school doesn’t rank. I don’t know my unweighted GPA, but it’s probably around a 3.9 or high 3.8’s.

What colleges are you thinking about applying to?

The top-tier schools like the ivies.
