4 B's Sophomore Year

So I go to a high school that is very challenging with coursework. In my sophomore year, I got 4 Bs, all in AP Calc BC and Honours Physics. These two classes are considered some of the most challenging in the school. I had rather high B’s. Would getting an A in AP Physics be able to help against the B’s in Honours?

I am rather disappointed with these grades, especially since I think I could’ve done better. However, what’s done is done.

In freshman year, I had all A’s. I had a little hope for getting into an Ivy League school or any other top tier college. If I get straight A’s in junior year and high SAT/ACT scores, do I still have a chance at getting into a “good” school? On my practice tests, I am scoring in the 1560-1590 range of the SAT and 35-36 on the ACT. Is that high enough?

Thanks for any responses.

Depends on the college. S19 got into a whole handful of elite LACs and was waitlisted at Vandy RD along with a bunch of his friends. He didn’t take the waitlist spot since he preferred the schools where he was accepted but his friends took the spot and both got into Vandy on the first wave of waitlist acceptances. They all had a slew of Bs soph year but all As since then. Just buckle down and do your best. It depends on your high school and what the AOs think of it. Our school has no grade inflation and colleges are aware of that.
