<p>Do people really go to classes up thru wednesday the day before thanksgiving or do the profs cancell?</p>
<p>Some folks do go to classes all the way through Wednesday. Others take a few days off at either end. One of my D's friends took the whole week off! Professors tend to be sympathetic and don't schedule tests or quizzes around that time.</p>
<p>i had tests the week before, but i went home for a whole week anyways. bc of the timing of the holiday in the academic calendar, it's a good time for profs to give tests, etc., but i just talked to my profs and did them before or after the break. if you want to go home for a few extra days you might want to talk with your profs at the beg. of the semester to see if it will be possible, that way you can go on and get your plane ticket early</p>
