Hello guys, I was recently trying to apply for A&M engineering school
There were basically 4 types of major I was confused.
I was looking for a Electrical major that also studies computer science, not studying the
“computer engineering”( messing with the actually physical aspect of computer)
So, which one should I choose?
Computer engineering Computer science track
Computer engineering Electrical Engineering track
Computer science
Electrical Engineering
Well the good thing is you can decide later what major you want to do since A&M is now doing general engineering and you apply to your specific major later. So most of the classes are the same.
However they told me if you really want to do just computer science, to sign up for a computer science class instead of the engineering class mostly everyone takes. So i’m taking csce 111, math 151, and biol 111 this first semester.
The way they explained it to me at my NSC, they have computer engineering and you can either take it through computer science or electrical engineering department. Most of the classes are the same except 1 or 2.
I chose to do regular Computer Science because I don’t like messing with hardware. I’m more of a software person.
Well there’s my experience so far, hope it helps.
