Our Rush defense is #1 in the nation, allowing less than 100 yards and 0 TDs on the ground in 4 games. The fact that those 4 games included a road gtame to Notre Dame and a visit from Wisconsin makes the statistic even more impressive. But Minnesota is far and away the best rushing team we've faced this year. Can we travel to Minnesota and shut out their rushing game? If we can, we will win with ease...and more importantly, our rush Defense will have proven that it is indeed one of the best in the nation.

Maguo, I will root for Minnesota's #30 any other game this year...but not this Saturday night!

I think wisky's rush was better than minn's. Wisky was first in the big ten in rushing before their visit to AA. We are a much, much better team than minnesota, and as long as we stay fired up we should win handily.

i'm getting worried about MSU..

one game at a time.

Allowing less than 100?...heck, we're allowing less than 20 yds per game!

dvlfnfv5, I meant less than 100 yards and 0 TDs in 4 games combined. So years, roughly 20 yards per game, which is amazing. I hope they can keep it up.

how could you be worried about michigan state? they choked big time against ND after being ahead by 16 in the 4th quarter... and today they lost to a horrible illinois team AT HOME. We'll beat state easily

Dude, in 1993, we lost to Spartan team that lost to Central Michigan! MSU can be 0-10 and I would still fear them. Their hatred for Michigan trumps their mediocrity on the football team! LOL!!!

What I want to see: Michigan v Ohio State...this should be very good, with high-level BCS added to the contest. However, this must wait for a few weeks.

Well Kman, before talking about OSU and the BCS, Michigan has a few more tough games left. This season was devided into four segments.

1) Miami and Central. We all knew those would be two easy wins.

2) At Notre Dame, at Minnesota and at Penn State, vs Wisconsin, vs MSU and vs Iowa. That's as tough a 6 game stretch without a break I have seen. Going through those 6 games 4-2 would have been an achievement as far as I was concerned. But we are now 3-0 and have yet to meet a real challenge. We have outscored our 5 opponents by an average of 20 points per game. I am still afraid we may lose one of the three remaining tough ones, but at this rate, I don't see it happening.

3) Northwestern, Indiana and Ball State. Again, those should be three easy Ws.

4) At OSU.

Like you, I relish the thought of going into OSU undefeated with the opportunity to play for the NC at the Fiesta Bowl hanging in the balance. Few coaches prepare for the big games better than Carr. But we have three very challenging weeks ahead of us and anything can happen.

228 net yard rushing vs. 105 ... and 194 yards for Mike Hart! Now who's got the better running team!

I think you meant Vanderbilt, not Miami. But yeah, MSU will definitely be tough next week. And I misread that first post. 5-0 now!

Stanton left the game in the 4th quarter due to bruised ribs. That significantly reduces the chance of MSU pulling out some miracle. Even if he's ready to go next Saturday, a shot or two from Woodley should put him back down. Guns don't kill people, Lamarr Woodley kills people.

With MSU being as horrible as ever and Penn State being greatly weakened from last year with a pretty bad quarterback, I think our next real challenge is going to be Iowa. I figured before the season that Iowa would be the key game, because losing to them drops us in the rankings and we have nothing for 3 weeks to get us back up before OSU.
