4 free score reports

I took the SAT last Saturday and this is what my account says

"You have 4 day(s) to add or change recipients for your October 2009 scores"

So if I don't send any scores in the next 4 days, does that mean I don't get the 4 free score reports?

That is exactly what it means except you don’t actually request a send of your scores, you simply update your list of colleges for a free send, and then it is automatically sent when scores come out. You must designate your four free sends in the application or by amending BEFORE any scores come out. There are no free send desigantions after scores come out; it costs you to send after that. Also when did that 4 day warning actually hit your account because the time may already be running or has run.

I saw the message today.

So I just send the 4 free scores first even before I am applying to the school?

Thank You

Again you don’t actually go in and try to send, you go into account and make change to list of schools for a free send. Those will then automatically be sent the scores when they come out. You can send scores to colleges before you apply; they start an app account with scores or application

It says "Just click “update Score Recipients” next to your test"

but there is nothing that says that next to my October scores which haven’t been released.
I chose my 4 colleges, but I’m not able to save them?.. I follow through on the application clicking “continue” and the Total is $0.00 - do I just click on continue until I get some sort of confirmation page?

OP
There won’t be a confirmation page but when you log in again or reboot, it should have the four schools listed. If they are not listed you are not correctly hitting the save section. We had the same issue and called collegeboard and they told us to look at the very bottom of the page.

I don’t see a save button.
I clicked “Send Score Reports” because I don’t have a “Update Score Recipients” link to click.

I think I should click Place Order?

it says “Are you sure you want to cancel your order? The selections you’ve made will not be saved.” when i cancel

You can click submit order, it doesn’t actually submit them permanently because you can go back within the 4 days and change the recipients, but you’ll get an email confimration because you technically “placed an order”. Nothing is final until that fourth day so don’t worry as long as you have your true four schools chosen on that day.

does the score report only show the scores for the most recent test, or for all of the CB tests you’ve ever taken? also, do the schools even look at the score report from juniors?

^same question!
Do they send ALL your SAT and SAT 2 scores?
If this is my last time taking the SAT, should I just send my scores to the colleges I am applying to? My ACT score is much better, but I have to send in SAT 2s for a couple schools. Thanks!

^I remember reading on collegeboard that when you do that, they send EVERYTHING.
You could always use Score Choice but some colleges request all scores or some colleges just take the highest part from all the tests collectively.

As for juniors, yea I’m pretty sure they see EVERYTHING. also there are a few people in my school who graduate early; i don’t know the details but if you send them I’m pretty sure the schools will look at them.

bump cuz I have a question too…
if I’m taking a late SAT should I fill this out? or should I just send the scores on the day it comes out? (my colleges accepting late scores give till the end of Dec I think)

heh…well I’m responding to pinkberry’s question four months later…but for others who have the same question:

If you’re sending in last minute scores…take the four free score reports. Your colleges will get the score reports on time and the risk of missing the deadline will be less.
