4 math/science classes as a second semester freshman?!

I was wondering if it's totally insane (literally) to take 4 math/science classes and FWS as a second semester freshman.

I am looking into
math 294
CS 100 J
Chem 208
ENGRD 270 (probability etc.)
FWS

If I don't take ENGRD this semester, I would need to take a liberal arts distribution for my engineering requirement. If I do that, I'd probably be taking Econ 302, which I think wouldn't be much better... The class that I dread the most is actually CS 100 J. Does anyone know if there is a placement test out of the class for the spring semester?

Thanks!

no its not, and no one on this forum knows how to answer questions!

Have you talked to an advisor?

yes, the advisor told me to take an elective. but the elective that I want to take is actually harder than ENGRD.

its totally fine.. right now im taking bio , bio lab, nutrition and chem.. thats 4 sciences right there. id gladly trade a science class for a math class.. it all depends on what sciences and stuff you are taking.. stuff like General bio chem physics all in one year would be dumb.. Your cs 100 isn't hard. your engr 270 seems fine also. chem 208 is soso in difficulty. that math looks a bit challenging. i dont know about linear algebra for engineers but i know someone whos taking math major linear algebra and it's pretty hard

Don't take CS 100 J if Gries is teaching it (which I think he is). He sucks SOOO badly. Take 100M if you must take 100.

IMHO, 294 is the easiest in the engineering math curriculum (but the hardest to get an A/A+ in because everyone does really well). 270 is a crap shoot. 100J is either really hard or really easy--it just depends on if you can program or not.

I see... I have another question. Is 270 basically like AP stats? Also, how's chem 208?
