<p>As LoseYourself points out the problem with 2 is redundancy. The comparison initiated with the word “larger” implies size. So you can say:</p>

<p>The Mayan River, which extends down the eastern coast of Mexico, has many hidden caves, one of which is larger than Monaco.</p>

<p>I thought it should be “who were honored”, but it’s actually no error. Why?</p>

<p>It’s E (no error) because the sentence is correctly written. Each is singular.</p>
