4 times?

So this past May SAT was my third time, and I'm debating (like many others I've seen in cc) whether or not taking the SAT for the fourth time. Will taking the SAT for the fourth time just just look rediculous? My top schools are UPenn, UMich, UCLA, USC, and UCBerkeley.

January SAT:
CR-550
M-740
W-610(8 essay)
1900

March SAT:
CR-600
M-710
W-680(8 essay)
1990

May SAT:
CR-590
M-800
W-650(8 essay)
2040

PRACTICE SAT(PROCTOR AND ALL):
CR-620
M-730
W-710(9 essay)
2060

So what do you think? I feel comfortable that, given another oppertunity, I could score a 700+ on writing and 600+ on critical reading.... On another note, why is it that I just took the AP English Language Exam and I'm %90 sure I got a 5, and yet I haven't scored better than 600 in CR and an 8 on the essay?

All advice is appreciated... Thanks a lot

Nah… your increases are small, and your practice test results don’t seem to be too different. Just let it go… and four times is too much.

Three is absolutely the maximum number of SATs you should take. You don’t want them to think your EC is test taking.

Superscore not bad, have decent chance at UMich if in state. 5 Times is too much, you had a chance to improve, but you probably didn’t study in between. You’ll just have to take what you can get.

Score choice my friend. Score choice. I don’t know whether the schools your applying to require all SAT scores submitted or not, but score choice is your ally.

It’s a ridiculous notion that a college will look down at you for perseverance anyways. Colleges like to see patterns of improvement.

I’m taking my SAT for the 4th time in June; this time I know my scores will increase a lot because I’ve been studying hard. Only one school I’m applying to wants to see every SAT anyways, so who cares! So far I’ve taken the SAT once each year of high school, except for this year which I’ll be taking it twice. Taking it months in a row is kind of weird though, but hey do what’s right for you.

Lol I’m going for my 5th time in June…but I don’t think it really matters since we have score choice anyway
