How does it look to a 4 year university, such as USC, if I started at a 4 year college, University of Washington Seattle, left and went to community college in CA (where I am a resident) and then transfer to USC. I am thinking about dropping out of UW after this first quarter and going back to CA and attending community college for the remainder of the year and transferring once I have enough credits. Will USC or any other school I might apply to be discouraged by my choice of actions? Thanks

i don't think so. i've known people who hated expensive 4-years they were at, switched to a CC to save money before transferring, and then transferred to perfectly good schools.

then again it's also what i'm doing right now so i could be biased.

If you're grades are good for the first quarter at UW, it'll be fine. If it's all 'W's' then it does raise questions. If you can explain it, then it will be fine. If you can't, then it's a problem.
