4 years of a language in high school?

Hey guys. I'm not sure if I really want to take AP Spanish my junior year in high school. Actually, I don't want to at all. Though her opinion is completely biased, my Spanish teacher claims good colleges such as UVA much rather prefer 4 years of a language when 3 is the minimum. I'd like to hear some input on this matter, because I'd much rather take something else! Your time is greatly appreciated.

The highest level of spanish i took was a college course offered at my school. I only took span from fresh, soph and jr though

this has been discussed so many times before. good luck with your decision.

I did four years of spanish and 13 of french, I say the more the better!

13 years of a language? Now that is impressive! Easy decision I suppose. I'll be taking AP Spanish next year if it's really that much better for college. I wish I could still speak Chinese and Vietnamese, so I could take AP Chinese if that even exists for an easy grade. I forgot everything when I was younger!

That's really is too bad! Both Chinese and Vietnamese, especially Chinese are such useful languages these days.
