4 years of language of just to highest level?

<p>I'm a sophomore currently enrolled in Chinese 4 and I'm not planning on taking a foreign language next year. I know that most Ivies highly recommend taking 4 years of the same foreign language in high school, but since I'm already taking the highest level offered at my school (besides AP) as a sophomore, would that still count as 4 years?</p>

<p>I'm planning to take both the AP and SAT II tests for Chinese, so would getting the highest possible score on these tests help at all?</p>

<p>Is your first language Chinese?
If yes, I’d recommend you taking another language class.
But no, there’s no problem if you’re already taking the highest level of a language.</p>
