Say one began with Geometry Honors freshman year. If he/she takes a summer course to get ahead( algebra 2) and took AP Calculus as a Junior, would that be 4 years of Math right there? Meaning he/she took Geo, Alg2(summer), Precalc, AP Calc all during highschool.

No, the four years means four years in school, though if you did that you could take something like AP Stats senior year (which is supposed to be extremely easy if you have already make it through AP Calc)

I actually did take Algebra 2 during the school, just during the summer. It’s a 7 week course that gives me the same amount of credits and everything.

Depends if your school will give you credit for it.

The schools I have talked to want you to literally take four years of math, regardless of the number of credits. Basically the idea is that you continue learning/exploring the subject your entire high school career.

By the time I graduate I will have 6 years of Math credit, 5 credits of English, and 5 credits of Science, it’s really not that bad. AP Stats is pretty easy, but it’s more writing based and almost everything is done in the calculator. Or if it’s an option, you could do a college clad for dual-credit.

Yeah I am the same way as you but with foreign language and English. I took two languages in 9th and 10th grade and then cut it down to one, so I will have 6 language credits then I replaced my 2nd language with yearbook (and plan to do the same next year) and at my school you get an English credit for yearbook which means I will also graduate with 6 English credits.
