4 years of science?

I am choosing my senior year classes.

I plan on majoring in a business related field like international business or maybe even finance. But I don’t see the point of taking a 4th year of science since I hate it. I am definitely not into STEM. I was thinking of instead of another science, take AP macro or AP micro to show my interest.

The colleges in my mind are the University of Central Florida, University of South Florida, University of Florida, Penn State University or even Florida State University - or any good university with a nice business program you can recommend

What do you guys think? Will I hurt my chances by not taking science?

Did you take biology, chemistry, and physics? Some colleges prefer to see frosh applicants who have taken one of each.

Florida State suggests that its typical frosh admits have taken 4.5 years of science and 5 years of social science (economics is a social science), compared to minimums of 3 years of each: https://admissions.fsu.edu/freshman/WWLF/

Will you have done the minimum for most colleges with 3 years of science? Yes.
Will it be the best application you can put forward? Likely not.
Of course, it also depends how much your distaste for science might affect your gpa.

Each college has its minimum high school requirements on its website; some also have a “preferred” column. Suggest you examine the schools you’re interested in to see what they say?

If you don’t like it, then don’t take it. Colleges are not really concerned about the specific classes you take as long as your GPA is good and you have the credits. It’s going to come down to GPA and SAT/ACT scores.

Yes! I took physics, biology and finishing chemistry this year.

I checked their website and all of them require only 3 years of science so I think I’m good! I had to choose between anatomy or AP macro and since I want to do business and I hate science, I guess it wasn’t a very difficult decision lol
