<p>My daughter likes musicals in HS - been in them from chorus to lead and assumed that all colleges had this and we are coming up so far as none (eg, Kenyon) or every other yr (Univ Iowa).</p>
<p>It seems like it might hit and miss. Is there a list for colleges that have student run musical theater? or is this only the arts - specific schools like... I dont know what those ever are.</p>

<p>There are other schools without MT majors that put on mucicals (ex: Emory, Harvard, Yale, etc) but they may not be as numerous. I go to the University of Oklahoma and the theater department puts on about 4 musicals every year as well as plenty of plays and other shows. Your daughter might also be interested in city schools so that she can see touring plays. My friend at Berkeley is a huge fan of musicals and frequently goes into San Francisco to see shows.</p>
<p>You can try to search the website of the schools you are interested in, see if there are any musical theater groups, or even put in a call to the music/theater department to get information.</p>
