40,000 dollars.. i can almost taste it.

I don't know. I just took that as meaning they're working to pencil everyone in and get the times they requested for interviews. Then once its complete, they'll contact the interviewees. That's how I read it.

My website is www.starstix.net and I applied.

Anyone get word yet about phone interviews?

Nothing yet. Still waiting.

how did you find out about the scholarship??

My counselor told me about it, but I think it was also on FastWeb.

Online searching for entrepreneurship scholarships. Speaking of which, I received an e-mail today saying I received semi-finalist for the NFIB Entrepreneurial Scholarship (where I could get $1000, $5000, or $10000). But like the McKelvey one, I still have not qualified for any money yet, but it's nice to know that I progressed on to the next round. I just wanted to let you guys know just in case any of you also applied for that one. But, I still have not heard from McKelvey.

Oh snaps .... I clicked the link provided. I don't know if I removed you or not :(

I also got the NFIB email today, but am I imagining it or when signed up for it didn't it say it was $1,000/yr. for four years?

i got the NFIB semi finalist email too, and im still waiting to find out more from mckelvey

I thought I remembered reading that the NFIB was a one time scholarship for $1000, $5000, or $10000 depending on how much you were awarded. It would be great if it were those amounts per year, but I interpretted it as a one time amount.

bros im gonna win so dont even get your hopes up

ha jk...but seriously

Haha - cjhmi - what is your business?

lawn service, Dynamic Cuts LLC
in business over 3 years, 2 part time employees
full commercial equipment
35 full time accounts
insured/tax paying company

basically kicks any internet hosting sites ass

That's very nice, but I doubt it's going to win the $10,000 NFIB prize. The winner last year had a "business that buys, renovates and sells abandoned homes to families in need". They probably always pick a charitable business for the winner (unfortunately, mine is not charitable)

oh thats really cool, yea well to be honest, the money should be going to a charitible business like that. However, im hoping for the mckelvey scholarship

Yeah, I definitely agree with you. I too am also praying for the McKelvey scholarship.

to the lawn cutter.... please don't flatter yourself

ha oracle, you probably do have a more profitable business, however i can guarentee that i have learned more about operating a business and customer relations than your internet hosting site where your only communication and advertising to customers is thru email

um... my business is not online
