Does anyone know when the 40 Acres scholarship starts to release semifinalists?

I know on Texas Exes’s FAQ that it says that finalists will be announced in “late January” but do interviews/semifinalist status come before this?
Semifinalist emails went out today at 4:40.

Does anybody know if they send out a “thanks for applying, but we’ve made our selections and unfortunately you didn’t make the cut” type of email to those who applied, but were not selected to move on in the competition? As an OOS applicant, we knew it was a long shot, but wondering if we are out of it if we didn’t get this email yet.
For readers of this in future years, I found the answer to my own question above. From the FAQ on the 40 acres scholarship page, it clearly says that only those moving on in the competition will be notified. So, if you don’t hear anything by “late January”, you can assume you didn’t make the cut:
"When and how will I find out if I receive a scholarship?
Recipients are chosen by the Texas Exes scholarship selection committees each spring. Only students receiving scholarships will be notified via the AcademicWorks system. Most students selected to receive a Texas Exes scholarship will be notified throughout the month of April and May.
Finalists for the Forty Acres Scholars Program will be announced in late January."

They said by Feb 3rd.
Is it possible some semifinalists haven’t been notified yet? Still hopeful haha.
All were notified. Interviews are next week, and finalists will be announced by the 3rd of Feb. Sorry!
Do the notifications come out as emails? I’m so nervous
