I remember getting 8/3 for 4b.
And for 6a. I put x = -2

The answer is x=0 and x=-2. Asked my BC friend.

I found out that dsfan was right. it is only -2 because the derivative are piecewise functions. That mean we have to derive the two functions, and deriving it would have have different values of y. For example, if the derivative composed of y=x+7, -6<x<0, and y=x^3+6x+7, 0<x<6, with both functions intersecting at (0,7). But if you derive it to find the second derivative, the y-value at zero is 1 and 6, respectively. Oh man, there goes one point off of question 6.

I am very strongly positive that it’s -2 and 0. Don’t worry answers will be out soon.! I hope so.

Time to get off.

answers will be out soon? really? i thought it comes out around July, the month when we get our AP grades. Please tell when, since this is my first time taking the AP exam.

Lol I don’t know that is why I said hope so. :P

I think x=0 is a point of inflection too, thats what a BC student told me today.

did anyone get 3a as 2250 not 2500? idk if thats what u guys meant

what do you mean? a while ago, I just prove that you’re right. Besides, we don’t know what g(x) is. So the slope at x=0 could be different than the second piecewise function.

anyone? 2250 for 3a???

never mind. Since the derivative function is continuous, I guess that the two functions have the same slope, which is undefined, which make x=0 a point of inflection.

for 3a, I got 2500, like most of the other people.

can i ask how i get the 3000 part gut with 6rad x wat did u do?

I am officially the biggest ■■■■■■ ever. I think I got like 26-30 points on the free response but only got like 4 wrong total for the multiple choice. (I had a nervous breakdown or something during the free response section). Should I still be in good shape for a 5 or should I worry?

2500 is definately wrong. think of ur profit equation. wouldnt the answer come out to $500 profit then?

the integral of 6radx is 4x^3/2 … plug in 25 and u get 2500. but thats just cost. if they sell it at 120x thats 3000-2500. Im just sayin 2500 does not seem right.

If you really got exactly four wrong. 45-4=41-4/4=40

40*1.2=48

26-30

74-78 You are very good in that 5 range. You are 4 points from the minimum of previous years. It could be higher but you got safe points.

Wow!
Trick question. BS!

ih8calc.

120x-integral(6root of x,X,25,0) = 3000-500=2500.

I got it wrong, but that is how it is really works.

F is for Fun, I think I did the same thing you did. Owned my FRQ but did awesome on MC. I think the curve for 5+ is high 60s, 70 max as min scores to get a 5. I can ace all the past exams, and was not prepared for this year’s. I never expected them to test you on the defition of an integral in realtion to a problem. I saw it and was like…oh ****.

anyways, for the problem with thecable part a, why do you need to integrate the 6rootx? I got 2970 like someone else here did. this sucks. I think I got the bike FRQ and area FRQ completely right, most of the concert one right, and got 0s or 1s on the others that like 25 points. 70-25 is 45, so if you answered all the MC questions, (45 right?) you can get up to 6 wrong/ 39 right and get a 70, which should be enoguh for a 5. THe highest curve so far was a 70/180 (out of the ones officially released)

Yea I mean I answered all the multiple choice and I only know of 1 i got wrong for sure.(I’m assuming I made additional stupid mistakes and got around 4/5 wrong total). I just got really really nervous during the free response and sort of blanked out. Maybe the AP graders will grandfather some points though help me out on the free response. My AP teacher (he got 19 5’s last year and 1 4) said that even high 60’s this year may be a 5. So im keeping my fingers crossed, because to be honest I would really kind of be embarrassed to get a 4 in calc, which is my best subject.
