<p>I was going to say about the only thing my S was hesitant about in going to K was the name recognition. We’ve realized over the past year that those that are “in the know” about higher education are very familiar with it and very impressed.</p>
<p>We only live an hour away and people here sometimes assume it is Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Usually those people have no idea about any LACs anyway.</p>
<p>Nobody where I live has heard of Kalamazoo. But this is my problem, rather than my son’s. I am confident he’ll be getting a good education and he’ll be happy, and that’s what’s important. If I don’t get to brag about my son, that’s my ego. He is fine.</p>
<p>May I just say, Cardinal Fang, as a new reader of these forums, if your son has anywhere near your sense of humor and insight, he’ll do fabulously well.</p>
<p>I think Kalamazoo sounds fabulous.</p>
