Is it possible to get 48 units in 3 quarters?

That would 16 units a quarter, does that sound dumb, or plausible?

I have 42 quarter units already based on AP tests and previous classes, and i want to have 90 units by the end of the year so that I can transfer.

I think I heard that they recommend only taking 12 or 13 units a quarter, but I suppose this is a special case for me.

Actually they recommend taking 15 units a quarter, 15-16 is good.

12 units is the absolute minimum you can register for in one quarter if you want to maintain full-time status. 13 units is the minimum you have to average over three quarters to maintain full-time status. If you want to graduate in four years you need to average 15 units over all quarters. It's not unreasonable to see people taking 17 or 18 units in one quarter.
