4s on ap tests...bad?

okay so im getting ready to apply to colleges and nearly all my scores are 4s...will this hurt my chances? serious question. because i posted my friends stats on the cornell forum and someone said that his scores were mediocre. he received scores of 5/5/4/4/4 and a 1 in physics. my scores aren't up to par (except phys) with his and im afraid this could hurt me

From what I know, I don’t think it’ll hurt your chances. I wouldn’t call your scores mediocre but they aren’t exactly the best you know.

^ yeah lol of course. but i mean, i didn’t know they were mediocre??? i would think slightly above average/decent at best. thanks for your input

Well, you usually don’t even have to give AP scores, so if you don’t want to, that’s fine.

^ so you would advice i dont report my ap scores?

I’d still send mine. 4s are respectable…it depends on where you’re applying. If you took the class, but don’t report the score, they might assume you got a bad score (like a 2 or something).

Yeah I got a 4 once. So it can’t be that bad.

4 are good…

4 on the AP exams are not that bad. Besides, AP exams doesn’t affect college admission much.

I got into Cornell with 4s. No biggie, it’s not gonna make or break your app.

You should send them, though. Colleges want to know that you took them. (And a 4 is not bad, ignore the CC Peanut gallery)
