I already have 3 years of foreign language under my belt. If I take a 4th year I would have to take it at the local community college which would be a huge hassel for me. Does UW really put much weight on that 4th year of language?
Please advise

UW only asks applicants for two years of the same language, although I'm sure three years makes you look better. If you plan to continue with that language at UW, you'll either start the language at the the basic level or try to test out into a higher level. The test, given in the spring, would be harder to do well on if you haven't been staying current in the language. My son took three years of HS Japanese, ending in his senior year, and tested into second year Japanese. They consider each quarter of college-level language equivalent to a full year at HS, so expect the pace to be much faster if you take a foreign language in college. I think some majors don't reuqire that you take any foreign language at UW, but check that out carefully.
