How much does taking the 4th year of language in high school count in the admissions process? I am a current senior taking AP Spanish 4 but am considering dropping the class. It is definitely not an easy class and the only reason I'm even considering keeping it is because I feel it'll make me more competitive in the admissions process. I need to make the decision very soon so any advice would be appreciated. Also, I am planning on majoring in business administration in college if that matters.
Thanks!

It depends on what colleges you're considering. Three years of language would be fine for many schools. Are you looking at schools the recommend a 4th year?

I am looking at schools such as UC berk, USC, BU, BC, NYU, etc... What schools recommend a 4th year?
Also, my senior schedule would be the following if i drop spanish.

AP Psychology
British Novel (English)
AP Calculus AB
AP Economics/Gov
Human Anatomy/ Physiology

Is this rigorous enough for the colleges I want to apply to?
Also some more information about me, My gpa is pretty low compared to some of these school's applicant averages. My SAT scores, however, are pretty strong and in the 50% or higher of these schools' applicants. I also attend a very competitive high school.

Thanks!

Some of the very selective schools recommend (eg. H) or expect (eg. P) 4 years of a single FL. I don't know about the schools you've listed, if you go to their websites they usually list their recommended or required academic preparation.

It's really hard to tell you if your course load is rigorous or not, as that depends on both what your school offers and what you have taken earlier.
