<p>You're right about that undercoveraviatr! My D went to AFA Summer Seminar a few years ago and she did run slower. But eventually you must get acclimated to the altitude!!</p>
<p>yea, when i first showed up it was hard to just climb up the ramp with my bags! but eventually you acclimmate, only 80% though :(.</p>
<p>Yea the USNA appointment letter gives you a 9 week workout that says I should be running 3 miles at an 8:30 to 9 pace and drops all the way down to a 6:30 pace. I like the advice the cross country coach gives with interval running alternating between 440's and 220's. I haven't tried it yet but I'm going to bring my running shoes to baseball practice and hit the track every night before I go home. </p>
<p>I think it's more about intensity rather than distance, although I believe distance is definitely going to be important during the summer. How much running do we do besides calisthenics in the morning? I was there July 1st this summer for wrestling camp and the Plebes woke us up on July 2nd at 5:45 in the morning when they were out on the football field. They seemed to be running company by company with their guide on bearer in the front. What pace does everyone usually run at?</p>
