<p>I believe I saw one 5:35 on a different thread that got accepted.</p>
<p>And before decisions were posted, one 5:35 person said they got a likely letter.</p>
<p>Also, the theory about 1:16 being just accepts and waitlists is completely wrong since there were plenty of 1:16ers who were rejected too</p>
<p>Let’s have it have “5:35 Losers Club” written on it and in the future point out the ones who have that shirt on if we see each other in the streets. It’ll be a great inside joke. :)</p>

<p>So it’s official. Though it by no means applies to EVERYONE, 1:16=ACCEPT and 5:35=REJECT.</p>

<p>I think that the 5:35s may have been those who didn’t make it to committee, for whatever reason. There was that article on the duke paper website that said that 5% of apps were accepted immediately and that 50% were rejected immediately - seeing as one of the acacepted 5:35s got a likely letter and therefore must have been very strong, this seems to fit.</p>
<p>Kind of a bad move on Duke’s part to put something even moderately indicative of the decision up…</p>
