5:35 Losers Club

lol 10char10char

I cannot believe that this thread exists. For the love of God just relax!!! Easier said then done, but come on now do you really think Duke admissions is trying to screw with you guys? Just stop please, just stop.

two more got back to me and both had 1:16 yeah

I gotta say…while I dont think EVERYONE with a 116 will be admitted, it is extremely strange that no people with likely letters have claimed to be in the 535 group. At the same time, waaay too many of us are in the 116 group for everyone of us 2 b admitted.

Hahaha Stupefy just won this thread. Game over.

Well the likelies would have been submitted earlier because their decisions were already final. I don’t think there is a correlation here.

Don’t you think the times might have to do with alphabetical order or something? Or maybe state/region? That would make 100% more sense.

Akshat- No, but only because I was one of the EDers freaking out about the same time issue in Dec. I thought mine came at around 6, but that was due to my email’s weird time stamp, which is a couple hours off. In the end, I figured out that my letter really did come at the supposedly “accepted students’” time. I was deferred. :P

i really enjoyed reading this thread. completely convinced that this college process is absurd. 5:35er with a 2280. also have a feeling that Duke wouldn’t make it so simple to determine whether you were accepted or not prior to the 3/29 6 PM release of decisions.

Its not by geography nor probably by last name. I have a friend whose last name starts with a D and my last name starts with a G. Also, we are both from Nebraska. I am a 116er and he is a 535er.

I have 5:35 and I am not a loser. I just felt that needed to be said. :)

wow. I had no idea people were so obsessive over something as small as a time stamp… This is a bit ridiculous.

This thread has been a lot of fun but tomorrow is almost here. Good luck to all and have a good night.

We really can’t theorize what they would do, kinda because we really don’t know, kinda 'cause we’re NOT Duke admission staff.

Kinda cause these timestamps probably make no difference. :)

and just as many people with 5:35 will get in as 1:16.

Let me screw this up completely: I got a likely and I’m a 5:35 :stuck_out_tongue:
Have fun…

^^ haha.

I’m not too stressed about the time stamp thing.

Although I do have a question: does an invitation to LSRW count as a likely letter? Cause when i first got it and read it i thought it was a sure thing, but now that it’s getting down to the wire i’m starting to worry…

Hahahah, I’m a 5:35er too and got a likely letter.

Also, I don’t like the title of this thread.

Good Luck you guys! :)

AHH! Right as I’m starting to settle into Rejectionville, all these Likely Letter kids start coming out of the woodwork with 5:35 times. Thank goodness we’re down to less than a day.

LOL. I find this entire time thing one of the most hilarious scenarios I’ve ever seen in a school’s admission process. Leave it to a devilish university like Duke to create insanity driven conspiracies among it’s perspective students.

I’m SOOOOOOOOOOOOO calling them tomorrow when I get rejected. Seriously. Then i’ll have nothing to lose :P
