5 classes in a day?

How difficult is this to handle. I might want to do this where I have my first 3 classes consecutive an hour break and then my last 2 classes. It would only be on Monday that I would have 5, wednesday 4, friday 3, tues 2 and thurs 1 class. Anyone have experience with this? All my classes would be 50 minutes long/..

you’ll be exhausted. even 3 classes is pretty exhausting but then again all of my classes are at least 1.5 hours, ed school is also known for once per week 3 hour classes. think if you have a test in all five classes. not unheard of around midterms. or even just a quiz. having 2 tests on one day is pretty much torture, trust me i’ve done it a few times now. even getting one of those moved to T/R will be beneficial. the only upside i can see is your 1 class thursday where you could crash.

After I learned what college was all about, I looked at the final exam schedule first - then chose my classes. I always wanted all MWF, but always ended up with classes evenly spaced with respect to day of week.

Four to five classes isn’t that bad, can you say e-school?

you’ll be fine. For the first few weeks, it’ll be a little harder as you adjust. And I wouldn’t list your schedule from days with highest to days with lowest number of classes. Look at it chronologically.

Monday: 5
Tuesday: 2
Wednesday: 4
Thursday: 1
Friday: 3

You kind of have “break” days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So you’ll have a chance to rest a little bit before your “harder” days. My schedule was extremely similar first year; I actually had the same number of classes, but mine weren’t all 50 min. I had 2 labs (3-4 hours) and a drill section (90 min) as well. On Mondays, I was in class from 9-5. The first few weeks I was tired, but by mid September, it was normal to me; I didn’t think anything of it. Also, a lot of people have 4-5 classes a day. That is not uncommon.

If you’re worried about endurance, you’ll build it up quickly.

Also take a look at the exam schedule and see when your exams are.

You’ll be fine with a schedule like that your first year. I wouldn’t recommend it the higher up in years you go though. Ie. I’m in the comm school, and the highest number of classes I have a day are three because they’re all an hour and 15 minutes long.

I had four classes MW for three semesters (kill me?), with two semesters being 4 50min classes and the other semester was 2 50s and 2 1.5s. It was tough, but my T/R days were devoted to labs and another class. You’re schedule isn’t bad at all seeming you have long T/R breaks, and even your Friday isn’t bad. HOWEVER: you’ll need to get work done on the weekends with 5 Monday classes. Hopefully you won’t have quizzes/stuff due in all 5, but if you do, I would quickly change your schedule. First semester is often people’s worst because you’re getting adjusted to college life AND classes.

Check out the Arch school - design studio for 3 years MWF 2 -5 (?, maybe 6)pm. That is where you begin to question your major.
