<p>I can tell you that UMD is strong in all these areas. Rigorous in all three. Have you been admitted to one of the UMD colleges or Arts & Letters? UMD can be pretty rough to move out of one college into the business college because the business college is very demanding and popular. Each college has many requirements in the major. I’m not sure if music is similarly tough to transfer into. If you transfer from one college to another, it might be difficult to graduate in four years at UMD. You can learn more about this at the UMD forum if you’re interested. I don’t know the other schools in all three areas as well as I know UMD.</p>
<p>premed and business are two opposite tracks, very few business majors choose premed at the end. You need to think about what you want to do before pick a school. I think either one of the five can get you there in pre-med, va tech is not known for business. Other than that, they are pretty much equal. </p>
