5 Courses senior year...

Hmm... reading that recent article about the fact that senior year is getting more weight, I've started to get worried. I'm only taking 5 classes which is spread over 3 schools. (Triple enrollment)

It's not completely my fault that I'm only taking 5 (one of which is a college course which does not count for a grade on my high school transcript). My school compacts it's AP classes together, so most of them are only in 1st or 2nd period. I couldn't take any in 6th period, and I did not want to take ceramics, so I've taken "home period" and worked on my school's CSF club activities or done independent study. Although I'm taking 4 AP classes and one college course, I'm afraid that compared to other applicants', some with like 7 or 8 classes, it will seem as if my courses are less rigorous.

I told my counselor to write about some of this on the counselor report but I was still wondering how bad this would be. Does anyone have insights?

^Its compared to what other applicants in your school are doing. In the end, it will come down to whether your counselor checks off the box “Most rigorous” to describe your courseload. Also, follow up with your gc to make sure she makes this senior course note in your rec. If your still worried, explain it in the additional info section of your app. That would be a good place for it. Good Luck :)

Thanks for replying :D!

I’m pretty sure my classes would count as most rigorous, as compared to others in my school. And I’ll be sure to put it in the additional information section. Thanks for your help!
