5 on AP Government exam?

I've heard from people at my school who've taken the AP Government exam that it is pretty difficult. I am trying to get a five on the exam and was wondering if anyone has done so with limited or no preparation?

My D just did the course work-got a 5

I would say that it's fairly easy compared to the rest of the exams.

I got a 5 with a week of preparation. You really need to already know a lot about government, though. If you check wikipedia for the score breakdowns, you'll actually see that a smaller percentage gets a 5 on gov than almost any other test. It may even be the most difficult to get a 5 on, in terms of percentage.

The entire AP Gov't class at my school passed the AP test last year. Many of them received 5s with little preparation.

Thanks, if you do well on the short answer portion of the test approximately how many multiple choice questions can you miss?

You need to get somewhere in the range of 87-93 total points out of 120 points. Short answer is worth 60 points, multiple choice is worth 60 points. From that you can figure out what you need

How strict is the grading of the short answer portion?

I think it is strict, I think.

They're given a list of all possible responses, and they award points based on how detailed you are etc. It's pretty strict.
