So I was waitlisted at 5 schools:
Bucknell, Lehigh, Washington & Lee, Richmond, and Colby

All of these I had thought were targets or target-reaches. I was rejected by my first choice (William & Mary), but I'd still really love to attend Bucknell or WLU if I came off the waitlist...the other 3 as well, actually. As such, I have two questions that I'd love some help with.

Does anyone have any tips to really stand out off a waitlist? If I can, I'd love to be the first name they choose.

The two places I was accepted have both offered me good deals...
Union College: Total financial aid of $37k/year, including the Presidential Scholarship, and status as a Union Scholar.
UConn: Honors Program, in-state with about $5k/year.

Because of the difference in initial cost, money really isn't a factor anymore. Due to a number of other factors (size, location, etc), I'm almost at a stalemate between the two. Could anyone make a case for either of these options over the other?
