50 Asian Girls Attacked at Princeton

Ok, let me add another fallacy. The independent newspaper's ending of the article, which tries to put the guy's life in some perspective (written by an Asian, no less!) and ends with people refusing to comment suggests that Princeton wants this person back?

And I didn't ask you to quote. I can read, you know. I asked you to show me here the excuses are. That quote doesn't support the guy in any way. It has a fellow graduate student commenting on his work and noting that it's a pity that he CANNOT continue his work. Then it has professors not commenting over concerns of privacy. The excuses are where?!

And see, West Sidee? Everyone starts out trying to be nice with you, but rational people deal badly with irrational people.

It doesn't really matter if liberals get a bad rap. Bush stole 2-9 million votes in the election.

http://electionarchive.org/ucvAnalysis/US/Exit_Polls_2004_Edison-Mitofsky.pdf

No matter how good liberals reputation gets, it doesn't mean anything if elections get stolen.

Anyways, I am just saying that I find this attitude at Princeton to be alarming. If anything, I am under the impression that Princeton is run by supposed independents who are really Republican.

Anyways! Just realize that if a Black, Asian, mexican man did the same thing to 50 white girls, there would be much more outrage at Princeton, than what there is now. Peace!

I give up. I no longer have the will to bother. Try me again tomorrow. Believe whatever you want and don't go to Princeton. The less irrational people, the better.

Harvard had 41 sexual assault cases, 25 robberies, 17 aggravated assault cases, over 700 burglary/larceny just within its cambridge campus within just the last year.

Just putting this in a different perspective.

West Sidee, what's your point? Are you trying to prove that Princeton's racist and biased based on the quote of just one student? (By the way, the student was cited as a friend of the criminal. Don't your friends try to defend you even when it's obvious that you did something wrong? Just out of sheer goodwill on the friend's part?)

Just as you have your first amendment rights, so does the criminal have his rights to privacy. That's why the university officials did not speak with the newspaper.

What, did you expect that the entire university go on a picketing campaign, shouting "KILL THE PERV"?
The criminal WAS charged by the police for harassment. Over 60 counts of it. Got it?

I can't believe I didnt think of this sooner, but while I was finishing up my 15 page paper on comparing African American stereotypes in white cinema black and literature it dawned on me why west side must be so mad at East Coast institutions, and princeton in particular.

West Side is an asian student rejected from every school he applied to east of the Sierra Nevada. Sorry if this was blatantly obvious to everyone else, I usually try not to make assumptions about people, but I figured I'd make an exception for this.

lol this is ridiculous. please tell me you cant find worse articles about harvard, yale, MIT, penn, or columbia (all at least semi-urban campuses)

west sidee has caused enough squabble...i think its time for this thread to close. i think its time for west sidee to grow up and accept reality. these things happen everywhere. maybe ur parents have sheltered u all ur life but walk outside or read the damn news and stuff like this happens all the time, but at princeton it is so much rarer.

Well there was a this story about Penn students trying to set fire to a visiting Princetonian by dousing him with non-flammable motor oil and then were surprised when he failed to light up when they threw matches at him. It's not actually funny, because he could have suffered serious burns, but, and here's the thing, despite the fact that Penn students did not picket and burn effigies of the guilty students and Penn did not issue decrees delcaring henceforth that they would crack down severely on all anti-Princeton discrimination, no one judges Penn, as an institution by the incident.

Except maybe West Sidee, who now will.

thats really ****ed up

That's really kind of stupid...(and funny in a sick way) >.<

cevonia - that was the debate team. some kind of debate team from princeton were at penn for a tournament and the penn kids (all drunk like they always are haha) drenched them in oil. stupid kids

it actually happened. i dunno if u implied it as a rumor by using the word "story"

Oh yeah sorry forgot to link the article. I read about it the Daily Pennsylvanian.
