500 words?

<p>ok, so for the longer essay on the common application they ask for it to be between 250-500 words. would it be absolutely horrible if mine was a little bit longer? how far over the 500 word limit do you think i could get away with?</p>

<p>Both of my JHU essays are around 530-540. I think you would be safe until about 580. Anything over 600 might be a little much.</p>
