Hi,

I have really bad anxiety and many times in the past, I had anxiety attacks during tests. It usually never hurt me that much though even though I would fail the test because I was always able to bring up my grade. However, it really hurt me awhile ago and it's too late to fix the grade. My counselor told me about the 504 accommodations of which I was planning to mention in my personal statement for colleges so that I could explain some of the bad grades I have had this year. However, will applying to this hurt my chances of getting into college? I want to get into UCSD and I am afraid that they will not want to accept someone who has really bad anxiety? Will this hurt my chances? If you know of any other info about this or have heard anything, please let me know. I do not know about any of this but I am hoping that it might help my chances but am afraid it will do the opposite. thank you!!

also, I know you can take meds for anxiety, however, I am also aware that it slows down you brain which I would not want during a test.
