<p>Grandparent-owned 529s are not reported on FAFSA.</p>
<p>But in future years, distributions from the GP owned 529 account to pay your college expenses must be declared as untaxed income to you on FAFSA.</p>
<p>^^^ in addition, if you apply to any schools requiring the CSS Profile, there is a supplemental question that some schools will ask:</p>
<p>“Enter the total value of assets held in Section 529 college savings plans that were established for the student by someone other than the student’s parent(s)” (SQ-521)</p>
