So I was ready to submit my UC application and this came up ---
Verify Units/Applicant Level
You have indicated that you are applying as a Junior level transfer student. The number of units you've reported (54 semester units/81 quarter units) does not meet the minimum required for the level you selected. The minimum number of units required for your level is 60 semester units/90 quarter units.

--- I included my AP scores, I received a score of 4 for the AP Spanish Lit and a 4 for AP Spanish Language Exams.
My CC counts them as 16 units. I am now panicking. Should I add classes to the summer '12 semester on the app? Or are my AP scores going to count?

Indicate on the Additional Academics Comment box that you’re using your AP exams. Read the side note on the application, it could’ve answered your question without making another one of these threads.

I had the same exact number of units as you with an additional 18 AP units to add onto. I forgot to put it into the additional comments box so I sent them an email. So yes tell them that you’re using AP units to fulfill the requirement.

The thing about summer is that, depending on the school, they may not accept pre-reqs if that is what you are planning to take in the summer. As for the unit count, I’m not sure. Contact the school about that.

Yep. In fact my counselor was the one who dug up my old AP scores and told me that I had 18 UC credits just sitting there lol. That made my spring semester a hell of a lot easier than I anticipated haha.
